COVID-19 Update
In response to Governor Lujan Grisham’s order directing the public not to gather in groups of more than five individuals, Lincoln County Treasurer’s Office will be closed to the public. We are urging Lincoln County Tax Payers to mail all property tax payments, or use our online payment access. We will also be available to take credit card payments by phone. Staff will be available to answer all questions and provide tax information by phone.

The Lincoln County Treasurer is elected for a four year term at each general election. The Treasurer keeps account of: Lincoln County monies received and disbursed, checks drawn and paid, and all records pertaining to the Treasurer’s Office. The Treasurer prepares and collects real and personal property taxes for Lincoln County Property owners. Property taxes are collected for not only County government, but for the municipalities, school districts, the State of New Mexico and other taxing entities within Lincoln County.

Due Dates
1st half of 2020 property taxes are due November 10, 2020 and delinquent after December 10, 2020; 2nd half of 2020 taxes are due April 10, 2021; delinquent after May 10, 2021
Send Payment Correctly
Please write your tax bill number or owner number on your check or money order.
Escrowed Payments
If your tax payments are escrowed through a mortgage company, it is your responsibility as property owner to forward this bill for payment.
New Mexico is a self-rendering state; PROPERTY TAXES ARE THE PERSONAL OBLIGATION OF THE PERSON OWNING THE PROPERTY. It is the tax payer’s responsibility to pay taxes even if they did not receive a tax bill.
